Management Team 

Qualitor is led by a strong management team with a depth of experience and success in the automotive aftermarket.  

Richard Snell - Chairman & CEO
Dick comes to Qualitor from Thayer Capital, where he has been an Operating Partner since 2003. Previously, he was Chairman and CEO of Federal-Mogul Corporation, a $6 billion automotive parts manufacturer. During his four year tenure as CEO, the company increased sales by 220% and net earnings by 810%. In 1998, he was recognized by Worth Magazine as one of the top 50 CEO's. Prior to joining Federal-Mogul, he was CEO of Tenneco Automotive, a $3 billion automotive parts manufacturer, where he increased sales and profits by 50% in three years.  

Scott Gibaratz - Chief Financial Officer
Scott joined Qualitor in 2006 as Chief Financial Officer. Before coming to Qualitor he worked with Merrill Lynch & Company for a total of 11 years in their Mergers and Acquisitions department, and also worked as Director of Merger & Acquisitions in London, which included working in New York and Chicago. Scott also worked with Thayer Capital for 2 years prior to joining Qualitor, and served as Interim CFO at Educational Resources, which is one of Thayer's portfolio companies. Scott received his undergraduate degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Michigan School of Business, and his MBA in Finance from Kellogg (Northwestern).  

Greg Andes - President Hydraulic Brake Group
Greg was promoted to President of the Hydraulic Brake Group in September 2006. Prior to his promotion, he was at IBI for 9 years where he started as the Vice President of Finance, and was promoted to General Manager in 2001. Previous to this, he worked for 6 years at Philips Electronics Components in various accounting positions. He then joined Champion Spark Plug Company as their controller, where he worked for 7 years. Greg has a Masters degree in Business from Eastern Michigan University, and a Bachelors degree in Accounting from Ohio State University.  

Charles (Chuck) Tornabene - President Pylon
Chuck joined Pylon in August 2007 and comes to Pylon from Simoniz USA, Inc. where he has served as President, Retail Products Division since 2005. At Simoniz, he led the re-introduction of Simoniz automotive appearance products to the retail market. Prior to joining Simoniz, Chuck spent 19 years with Turtle Wax, Inc., the last eleven as its President and Chief Operating Officer. Earlier positions included key Sales and Marketing positions with consumer products companies Texize Chemicals and the Campbell Soup Company.  

David Krohn - President BLD Products
David is a seasoned executive who has spent over 30 years in the auto parts industry, much of it in the aftermarket. He served a successful 25 years at J.P. Industries, which was bought by T&N, which was then bought by Federal-Mogul. Throughout, Dave moved to greater levels of responsibility ending as Senior Vice President of Federal-Mogul in charge of $2.5 billion in revenue and 13,000 people. Dave left Federal-Mogul in 2000 to become President of Tower's North American business. Subsequently, he was employed by Engineered Machined Products as President and COO.  

Kevin Backus - Vice President Manufacturing
Kevin joined Qualitor in 2006 as Vice President of Manufacturing at Qualitor, where his focus is concentrated on driving continuous improvement in the manufacturing operations through implementation of Lean principles. Kevin came to Qualitor from MetoKote Corporation where he spent three years as Director of Lean Operations. Kevin's duties there focused primarily on implementation of Lean tools in the custom coatings industry. Prior to MetoKote, he worked for Federal-Mogul for 20 years in a variety of plant, division and corporate roles in both manufacturing and the aftermarket. He was one of the developers and implementers of Federal-Mogul's approach to Lean worldwide. Kevin's position before leaving Federal-Mogul was Vice President of Brake and Chassis Operations.  

Robert Bosco - Vice President Product Development
Robert assumed the position of Vice President Product Development in September 2006, and now works with the Qualitor locations on product development and improvement. Robert joined Qualitor in August 2001 following the Anstro acquisition. As former owner of Anstro, he has spent over 20 years in the industry, exclusively with Anstro and Qualitor. Robert's knowledge of parts tooling is highly regarded in the industry and he maintains close relationships with the majority of the HBG division's customers.  

Ken Hixson - Asian Business Development Manager
Ken joined Qualitor in May 2003 and was immediately assigned to BLD Products as the Supply Chain Manager. After 18 months at BLD, Ken returned to Qualitor Headquarters and filled the newly created position of Asian Business Development Manager. In this role, Ken is responsible for launching a new manufacturing facility in Shanghai, China, and for overseeing product sourcing initiatives out of Qualitor's Representative Office in Shenzhen China. Prior to joining Qualitor, Ken was the Lean Manufacturing Manager at Hayes-Lemmerz. He also spent 12 years with Federal-Mogul Corporation in their management-training program with cross-functional assignments in Manufacturing Supervision, Engineering, Heavy Duty Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse Distribution and Plant Management. Ken earned a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration from Wayne State University.  

Gale Marshall - Corporate Human Resource Manager
Gale joined Qualitor in 2000 as Human Resource Manager for BLD Products, and has also been responsible for the corporate human resource function. She was promoted to Corporate Human Resource Manager in 2006. Prior to joining Qualitor, she was the Area Human Resource Manager for Cargill's Deicing Salt Division for 2 years, and previous to this spent over 11 years in hospital and healthcare human resource management. Gale earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Cleveland State University.
